The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department’s District Selection Committee (DSC) is expected to release the official notification for the recruitment of teachers today.
After the announcement, the applicants can check the mega DSC notification on the Department of School Education and Teacher Recruitment Board’s official web portal, apdsc.apcfss.in.
Sources of a news agency have said that the AP DSC notification, which will likely be out on 6th November, will be for the 16,347 posts. These are 6371 for Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), 7725 for School Assistants (SAs), 1781 for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), 286 for Postgraduate Teachers (PGTs), 52 for principals, and 132 for Physical Education Teachers (PETs).
This massive recruitment campaign has attracted the attention of many teaching professionals, with most waiting to hear more about their qualifications and how to apply.
While it is not yet clear as to how many candidates are likely to be hired, other details such as the number of jobs available, the requirements, the dates to submit the applications, procedures, and requirements of applying, and the methods of selection are detailed in the official notification which is released later. The results of the APTET July 2024 have added to the increasing concern expected as the examination result is released. Out of the total 368,661 candidates who had shown up on their examinations, 50.79 percent or 187,256 candidates passed out, as announced on November 4.
The Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh, also pointed out in the result announcement that the state government is committed to fast-tracking the teacher recruitment processes, and the much-awaited mega DSC notification will be released soon.
