This particular Diwali was labelled ‘special’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since it would be the first time in 500 years that Lord Ram would be celebrating the festival in the newly formulated temple in Ayodhya.
At a video conference on Tuesday, he greeted citizens in Dhanteras and stressed that this Diwali was different.
”As we celebrate Diwali this year,” PM Modi said. “Today, sitting in the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, after 500 years, we get to celebrate such an enthralling Diwali.” He said that it was lovely to get a chance to enjoy this glorious event, which defined the end of years of belief to several Hindus in India.
The construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple was possible after the Supreme Court decided in 2019 on an old land dispute, which paved the way for the construction of the temple. This festival, in fact, will be the first one held in the temple after its official opening in January this year.
Besides talking about the temple, PM Modi spoke about the government’s policy to offer youth employment in the country. He stated that 51000 young people are being handed out appointment letters for government jobs in the ongoing Rozgar Mela, noting the millions of permanent jobs the government is creating across India even today.
He further said, “The process of extending offers for lakhs of permanent government jobs to youth is going on,” The initiative also covers the states with BJP and NDA governments. Being a religious occasion, PM Modi’s speech combined devotion to faith and active participation towards their political leadership’s efforts towards economic opportunity for youth in the country as it progresses towards this festive season.
