Durg: A horrific road accident that claimed the lives of three families happened this morning at Daur village on CM Medical College Road. The deceased was a woman, a child, and a man. Soon after the call was received, the police from Jamul reached the area, filed an FIR, and got the bodies taken for autopsy besides starting any other legal proceedings they might have to follow. Also, a two-year-old girl was critically injured in the incident and is being treated in the hospital.
It was said that Rajesh Sahu, 32, along with his sister Ritu Sahu and his two nieces, who were on the way back from a housewarming ceremony in Kachandur village, met with the tragic mishap in the wee hours of the morning at about 7 a.m., when a cement loaded truck coming from Ramshwaram Mahadev Temple and Daur Crusher Mine in the jurisdiction of the Jamul police.
A consequence of the accident demonstrated that Rajesh, his sister Ritu, and one of his nieces died on the spot; the niece was 12 years old at the time. The second niece, who is two years old, was also in the back seat of the motorcycle and also critically injured. She was taken to a point in a neighboring hospital where she is in critical condition.
