The Uttar Pradesh Police have also launched an inquiry into the possibility of a question paper leak relating to the UP Technical Education (Teaching) examination scheduled to be held on October 20. This action came after the filing of the First Information Report (FIR), given the recent leakage of supposedly original audio. There are signs that the exam was compromised by the IICT employee Rajesh Verma and another person in order to make a profit;
The audio, which was produced in an email by a whistleblower on 14th October, provoked officials. The officers claimed that this conversation suggests attempts to rig the coming examination processes, which may bring bias to the assessment. The director of IICT has also asked that the audio clip and other proof in a pen drive be delivered to help with an investigation.
To counter the Security threats UPPSC Deputy Secretary Dharmendra Kumar Tripathi lodged a complaint under Section 154 CrPC to Bhadohi city police station on October 16. The complaint lists some of the violations as being under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill 2024 and section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The police have noted that one has to conduct an elaborate investigation, which would involve interviewing the individuals of interest for alleged misconduct. Officials are dedicated to investigating such misconduct promptly to maintain the appropriate standards of the examinations and guarantee that the major values, such as equity and openness, are preserved in public education.
