Mumbai: Recently, Ali Bhatt’s film Jigra was released at the box office, which gave less than average business. This film, which was released on Friday, earned only Rs 4.55 crore, which was very disappointing, but on the very next day, on the occasion of Dussehra, Jigra showed a very impressive growth.

Jigra box office collection

Jigra made ₹6.50 crore on its first Saturday, which represents a 42% increase from its opening day earnings. With this, the film’s domestic net collection for the first two days has surpassed ₹11 crore. The movie’s producers are hoping that this encouraging pattern will hold and that the movie will see significant growth once more on Sunday.

However, Jigar flopped badly in the Telugu-dubbed version. The film earned Rs 5 lakh on the first and second days, and it is believed that the dubbed version may not earn better than this. Many shows of the film remained empty on the first day in areas like Nizamabad and Warangal. This led to reports of numerous shows being cancelled the following day.

Kangana’s comment

The controversial and uncensored commenter Kangana Ranaut shared a cryptic message on her Instagram story. The politician, who was once an actor, concentrated on how “women-centric cinema” is failing at the box office and why it does not work well. “When you destroy women-centric films and make sure that they don’t work, they don’t work, even when you make them. Read that again. Thanks,” Kangana’s story read.

Remarkably, Kangana did not use any names in her story; however, rumors indicate that it may be related to Alia’s action thriller. Kangana has made remarks about Alia’s film before. She’d called Alia a “romcom bimbo” and taken a jab at her “papa ki pari” at the time of Gangubai Kathiawadi’s release.

All about Jigra
