Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the people of Haryana for voting for the BJP once again in the 2024 assembly polls. In his post on X (previously Twitter), he expressed his gratitude to the voters for extending their trust in the developmental model championed by BJP. ”I bow to the people of Haryana again for giving a lot of numbers to the Bharatiya Janata Party. It, therefore, gives triumph to good governance and development politics.” Modi, addressing the people of Haryana in Hindi, said, “I guarantee each and every person of Haryana that they will not let the dreams of this state go unfulfilled.”

The Prime Minister also congratulated the BJP workers, whom he said supported the party directly to victory through their tireless efforts. “This victory was made possible by the efforts of BJP workers who made sacrifices to achieve this victory. Not only have you worked with the people of this nation to the utmost of your abilities, but you have also explained our development goals comprehensively. This is due to the improvement you have demonstrated towards the state,” he stated further.

Aggression by the BJP in Haryana, along with a good show in Jammu and Kashmir, further establishes BJP supremacy and organizational network. This has come as a shocker since exit polls were expected to show a much tighter contest. Nevertheless, the BJP is just a few steps ahead of replicating the second successive victory in Haryana and establishing itself as a clear political front-runner in the state.

Contrary to the idea that anti-incumbency was a threat to the BJP, the party ensured it maintained support from different castes, effectively sealing victory. The Congress party, which uses perceived dissatisfaction with the ruling government as a domestic asset, did not have enough steam to challenge the BJP and its dominance again.
