Raipur: The Congress party has been on Chhattisgarh Nyay Yatra and will conclude today at Jaistambh Chowk in Raipur. This yatra was started on 27th September, and the yatra was from Girudpuri to Singhad, covering a total of sixty-seven geographical miles, i.e. 125 kilometers. The closing ceremony will be held under the leadership of the Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge Sachin Pilot, PCC Chief Deepak Baij, and former CM Bhupesh Baghel. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai has not hesitated to come down heavily on the Congress party Nyay Yatra.

He said that rather than a Nyay Yatra on a Justice March, Congress should be holding a Kshama Yatra or a Forgiveness March. Refusing to accept the criticism, CM Sai said that the Congress, which came to power during the assembly polls in 2018, had not fulfilled any of the poll commitments. This failure, he pointed out, is the reason why the people of Chhattisgarh kicked out the party in the last assembly election of 2023. But, in the last five years, Sai said the Congress party has not only left the aspiration of the people of Chhattisgarh unfulfilled but also hampered the growth of the state. Hence, he stressed that it is appropriate for Congress to undertake a ‘ Kshama Yatra’ to seek pardon from the public.

Earlier, in a ceremonial motion, CM Vishnudeo Sai revered the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi, by paying homage to the statue installed for him. After this, the chief minister also join a n cleanliness drive in which the chief minister also washed road with broam as part of awareness programme on cleanliness. His act was in support of his lifelong principles of cleanliness and practicing hygiene as propagated by Mahatma Gandhi while supporting Swachh Bharat. This event succeeded by paying honor to Gandhi but also reflected the message of recovery and responsibility back to the public.
