Recently, an incident took place in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where a school manager with four accomplices was apprehended for strangulating an 11-year-old Class 2 student and sacrificing him under the bemoan that the act would help in the enlargement and development of the educational centre and success to their families. Given the police claim, the prime accused, Dinesh Baghel, known as Mudda Chand Sahu, the school manager, his father Jasodan Singh, principal Laxman Singh, Ram Prakash Solanki, teacher, and Veerpal Singh were nabbed after the police conducted a detailed investigation.

Police said that the boy is a student of this school and he lived in the hostel where Solanki tricked him out of his bed under the guise of attending some medical emergency. He was instead taken to a nearby forest where the cruel act was perpetrated on him. The boy was molested while crying, during which Veerpal Singh and Laxman Singh are said to have watched, a claim which has since been denied. The accused thereafter throttled the child, and placing his dead body in Baghel’s vehicle, they went in search of a dumping place.

First, the school officials said that the boy died from an illness, but an autopsy presentation proved the contrary; the boy had been strangled, and there was a fracture on his collarbone. The investigators stated that the boy’s hair was shaved on that side in line with a cannibalism rite.

School apprehended, police discovered that Jasodan Singh did perform occult and thought that by offering a child as a gift, the school, as well as his family, would become wealthy. The boy’s family, however, retraced Baghel’s vehicle on September 23, where his lifeless body of the boy was recovered. The five accused are charged with murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita’s Section 103 (1), pointing at the severity of this tragedy and subsequent danger to the community.
