Gwalior: The Gwalior Regional Industries Conclave in Madhya Pradesh had several sensational moments when the spotlight was focused on the hungry Indian crowd, but one of the most memorable was the reaction of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia during the event. Though the conclave was meant to deliberate on industrial investments in the Gwalior-Chambal region, it was this man’s choice of hiding his face on the stage which topped the news. Some people began asking questions such as, why did this prominent union minister have to blur his face before the group of people due to the comment passed by CM Mohan Yadav?

CM Mohan’s Comment

In his speech to the audience, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also appreciated the efforts made by Jyotiriditya Scindia to attract investment industrialization in the region. He further compared Scindia with his grandmother Vijayaraje Scindia, who revolted against the Congress party in 1967, which led to the collapse of the then Madhya Pradesh government. Dr Yadav said, “For the development of Madhya Pradesh, a founder of BJP and member of the royal family of Gwalior, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia led the Congress government to down, and for its development, her grandson Jyotiraditya Scindia also contributed by going down the Congress government in 2020.

It was after this comment that Scindia, sitting on a chair on the stage, put both his two hands on the face so as to hide it from all the attention. The audience, as well as those on stage included, got an element of surprise by his gesture as what ensued was equally stunning – Scindia could not control his laughter and burst out laughing.

Political Message by CM Mohan

Such a response from him, along with the comment made by the state’s chief minister, has now turned into political gossip. The message was clearly embedded, though indirectly, that every political heavyweight in Madhya Pradesh, including royals like Scindia, is committed to building this state to further the BJP agenda.
