Packed with star-cast including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana, the much-awaited films, Stree 2 is setting the box office on fire and there seems no looking back for the commercially successful movie. Yesterday, on Monday, the production house Maddock Films which has produced this film under the direction of Amar Kaushik posted latest box office collections on Instagram. They expressed their boast about the fact that Stree 2 has also been able to gross ₹560 crore in world wide collections in 11 days of the films release in theatres.
In their post, the film’s poster showcased these remarkable figures, with a caption expressing gratitude to the audience: ”Stree 2 moves forward in its historic run by creating the record of being highest second weekend grosser for a Hindi film! Thank you, everybody for making this journey ‘Blockbuster & Unforgettable’ ……Book your tickets now.” India’s gross collection indicated that the movie got ₹ 474 Cr and a worldwide gross collection of ₹85.5 crores internationally.
The story of Stree 2 continues the events of the first film, Stree, which was released in 2018 and tells the audience about the avenging female ghost. In this sequel, the narrative is changed, and the main antagonist is a headless villain called Sarkata, who abducts women with independent ideas and opinions.
Stree 2 was released on 15th August 2024 to release on the Independence Day in India besides other Bollywood Films such as khel khel mein and vedaa. This is the second instalment in a horror-comedy franchise being made under the banner of Dinesh Vijan along with the hits Bhediya and Munjya. Thus, with a creative storyline and remarkable actors’ work, Stree 2 has amazing opportunities to become a blockbuster and set a high record among pictures that viewers would like to watch.
