Bhind: There is news of a tragedy from the Bhind district. Bhind’s soldier, Awadhesh Sharma, was on duty at the border of Jammu; he had left this world. He was hospitalized after developing complications in the line of duty. He also received treatment in a hospital at Bareilly but could not live and died there. Today, his mortal remains have reached his Ashok Nagar, Bhind residence. From there, the body, along with some of its other army personnel, has been taken to his native village – Niwari – where he will be given a military burial on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
Awadhesh Sharma is survived by his parents, wife, and two school-going daughters, who are still in shock over the sudden death of their dear one. The whole of Niwari is in a state of mourning, and thousands throng the place to pay their last respects to the brave son. The people of the community mourn heavily as they attend the burial of the soldier who died an honorable man serving his country.
The loss of Awadhesh is poignant for the family and people in the village of Raktua, which has lost one of its own. He sacrificed himself for the better of the country, and this kind of patriotism will always be remembered to have been displayed. Just before the cremation takes place, one is able to feel some of the pain of losing a son, husband, and father in the village.
The burial rites of this brave soldier will be duly accorded the respect of a fallen hero and hero of this country by all who knew him and the community he lived in. His funeral to be held this Raksha Bandhan is a tragic aside to the day since the day is observed in commemoration of the bond between a brother and a sister. Today, however, will also be a day of lamentation and remembrance for a man who saved the nation.
