Jharkhand politics came to life on Sunday with the former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren stating that ‘all three options are open’ to him amidst speculations that he may switch over to BJP. This the veteran leader disclosed in a heart-touching post on social platform X as he recounted his political career experience and the events that paved the way to his being the 12th Chief Minister of the state.

From the history of the Jharkhand Mukti Morra, Soren, a senior of the JMM, recalled and narrated what transpired from the time he assumed the office on February 2 until the moment he stepped down for Hemant Soren, whom he mentored. ”On January 31, after such a turn of events, the India Alliance bestowed upon me the honor of serving the state as the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. From the first day of my term to the last (July 3), I worked with commitment and passion. In the interest of the public, we made many decisions, and, as usual, I was accessible to everyone. The people of the state will judge the decisions we took, evaluating every section of the society.” said Champai Soren.

The 67-year-old leader got into the state’s leadership after Hemant Soren stepped down from the position after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on charges of a land scam. But on June 28, the Jharkhand High Court freed Hemant Soren on bail, and as Chief Minister, he came back – this led to Champai Soren’s removal.

Champai Soren, in the post, described how it happened, saying that after getting busy in the celebration of Hul Diwas on June 30, he was told that all the programs the JMM leadership had planned for him for the next two days had been canceled.
