Independence Day in Delhi: Reports claim that Education Minister Atishi was going to hoist the tricolor instead of CM Arvind Kejriwal. The General Administration Department has put a stop to this decision. Atishi said, “The tricolor is hoisted by the elected government. Before 15 August 1947, the country was under British rule. Today, when the elected government is being prevented from hoisting the flag, it seems that a new Viceroy has come to Delhi.”
CM Arvind Kejriwal is in jail. In such a situation, the question was arising that who will hoist the flag in place of the CM on Independence Day. Regarding this, CM Kejriwal himself had written a letter to LG Vinay Kumar Saxena. He had informed that Cabinet Minister Atishi will hoist the tricolor.
After this decision, Atishi said, “From today, Aam Aadmi Party is launching Satyamev Jayate DP Campaign. BJP cannot break us. This will be started on all the social media handles of AAP. In which the DP will be changed. No matter how many times our leaders are put in jail, truth always wins. From 3 pm, AAP leaders and workers will start the Satyamev Display Picture Campaign.”
Under this campaign, a poster with the picture of CM Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia will be put in the DP on which Satyamev Jayate is written. Atishi said, “Aam Aadmi Party has never been suppressed, never scared. Manish Sisodia came out of jail due to SC. It is the right of the elected government of Delhi to hoist the flag on 15th August.”
