Uttar Pradesh bore severe heat and humidity, and soon on Wednesday, they received a good monsoon shower. There was precipitation recorded in almost all the twenty-four districts, more so in the eastern regions of the state, making the day cooler than usual. IMD has predicted intense weather for the next few days, and they have also issued a warning.
People have described Wednesday’s rainfall as timely, given that it came during the monsoon period and has a positive impact on the farmer planting paddy crops. The first rains of Sawan month transpired, and these enriched the fields and helped provide the necessary water to the rice plantations. To many of the farmers who have been toiling under the scorching sun and high humidity, this rain is a welcome and much-needed bonus for their produce.
However, due to these heavy showers, there was water logging in some of the places, including Azamgarh, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Lucknow, and Maharajganj. These have led to water logging, which has upset peoples’ ways of operating and some of the key structures. The IMD warned people in twelve districts of Agumbe of heavy to very heavy rains and the possibility of lightning on Thursday and called on the authorities to brace for more unpleasant crucial conditions.
The summer in the state had been oppressively hot, but with the return of monsoon, the general population had something to cheer over to come relief from hot weather. More specifically, the change in weather is expected to persist and provide a lot of rainfall that will be favorable to farming, as well as ease the inconveniences occasioned by recent extremely high temperatures.
