Monsoon in Madhya Pradesh: The state is witnessing heavy rainfall for the past few days. In many districts, heavy rain has created flood conditions. While rivers and streams are in spate, the Meteorological Department has said that the weather in MP can change once again from July 31. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains can occur in different parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh from July 31 to August 2.
“Light to moderate rainfall at isolated places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning likely over east Madya Pradesh, northwest Odisha, east Vidharbha, south Andaman islands and coastal Gangetic West Bengal during next 3 hours”, wrote IMD on X.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 7 districts of the state today. This includes Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Dindori and Anuppur. Heavy rain is also expected in Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain. Due to monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, a period of heavy rain will start again in the state.
Monsoon In Madhya Pradesh
A strong system will form from August 1, after which the rain will begin again in the entire state. Here, in view of the rising water level, the gates of 12 dams were opened in the state in the last 4 days. The western part of Madhya Pradesh has received the most rainfall. Capital Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram and Chambal divisions have received 10 percent more rainfall so far. The eastern part of the state received 4 percent more rainfall. The maximum rainfall has occurred from the beginning of the month of Savan i.e. 22 July, which is continuing continuously.
