In latest forecast issued on Saturday morning, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa. IMD predicted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in these areas. Showers are also expected in Delhi.
The low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal transformed into a depression on Tuesday, and the system moved upwards towards Odisha. The depression was located close to Puri, Gopalpur and Paradip, and is slowly moving towards the northwestern-western areas.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 28 degrees. 4.3 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours with relative humidity on at 86 percent on July 19.

The weather in Madhya Pradesh is expected to be humid with considerable cloudiness. Afternoon thunderstorms in spots are expected, according to IMD. The maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 25 degrees. 4.3 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours with relative humidity on at 48 percent on July 19.
