On Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced more benefits for Agniveers who complete their short four-year stint in the armed forces. These include age relaxation in state public services recruitment, a horizontal reservation, and subsidy to industrial units that employ Agniveers.
“Haryana Government is taking the lead in working for the welfare of Agniveers. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in line with the policies of the Government of India, we are taking care of farmers and soldiers on a priority basis. Now, interest-free loan up to Rs 5 lakh will be provided to Agniveers setting up any small scale industry. Agniveers will be provided arms licenses on a priority basis. Agniveers seeking deployment in government departments/boards/corporations will be given priority in matrix score”, wrote CM Saini on X.
