Raipur: Political parties have shifted gears to reviews and other related business after the release of results in the Lok Sabha elections. Out of the 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh, BJP has claimed victory in 10 of them. Today, there will be a meeting of the BJP Election Management Committee. This meeting will be held at the BJP state office at Kushabhau Thakre Complex at 12:00 P.M. By this meeting, the workers will be rewarded for winning 10 seats in the state.
The chief minister, Vishnudev Sai, will also be present in this meeting. Further, this has been an oppurtune time that CM Sai will be visiting Delhi today. He is scheduled to depart from Raipur Airport at 9:20 PM and will be engaged in a meeting at the party’s office in Delhi. This visit was the first in Delhi by CM Sai after the results of the Lok Sabha elections had been declared.
The Congress party lost the Lok Sabha election in Chhattisgarh more than anything. During the general elections held in May 2019, the Congress party managed to win two seats. But in the 2024 Lok Sabha convenant for the country, they could only secure one seat for themselves, that of the Korba Lok Sabha seat. The Congress is all ready to begin a soul searching on this loss. Lok Sabha in-charge of Chhattisgarh state, Mr. Sachin Pilot, will likely visit the region shortly for this purpose. On the occasion of his visit, the current evaluation and the formulas for the selection of candidates will be discussed.
Lobbying for the victory that BJP achieved in the Chhattisgarh election as a great success for the party, particularly at a time when the Congress party enjoyed a forceful presence in this part of the country. The meeting of the BJP Election Management Committee which is expected to take place after the preparatory meeting and great win, will not only be a platform to rejoice over victory but also to plan for the subsequent elections.
