New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) held a press conference on June 3, 2024 commending the process of the world’s largest election mobilization. It praised each and every officer who indulged in the effort to make voters cast their votes effortlessly. The press conference was live on YouTube and was translated for physically challenged at the same time.
It praised the efforts and also offered gratitude towards the “Gulshan ki Khoobsoorti foolon see hai, mail ki baat kaun karta hai”, said the Sh. Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India.
Highlighting the success tories, he said that there were 39 re-polls conducted this year. Further, the Jammu and Kashmir recorded the highest turnout ratio in 4 decades. This has been attributed to the ease of the process of voting with increased polling booths, and allowing even Kashmiri immigrants to vote.
