Several fake applications have been filed in the name of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Shah Rukh Khan, and many others; the BCCI has reportedly received 3,400 fake applications for the head coach position. The closing date for submission of the applications was 27th May, and now BCCI has to Governor through all the applications in search of that perfect candidate.
While examining it in detail, the BCCI realized that many applications, under names like Narendra Modi, Amit Shah – a corporate entity, Virender Sehwag, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, and MS Dhoni were fake. The selection process for the head coach of the men’s team is still open. The BCCI is not new to such a flood of fake CVs. In previous cases, the organization also struggled with a large number of fake applications for migration.
An insider for the BCCI revealed that the organization might shift more into a new strategy in the future when deterring fake applications because they interfere with the usual process. “Since the application process is in the public domain fans and many people can easily access the form is available on the BCCI website To they may reduce such issues in future the process they might develop new ways of inviting applications which will help get rid of fake ones,” added the sources informing a news agency.
Out of the lot of genuine candidates, the candidate that is said to be in the running for the post of the head coach for the Indian cricket team is the KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir, who helped Kolkata Knight Riders to lift the Indian Premier League 2024 crown, has been named in the running for the position by several media outlets in the country. His particular experience in the IPL and the team’s success with his participation make him a good candidate.
