New Delhi: The voter turnout of the Phase 6 of the Lok Sabha elections on Sunday was 57.70% by 5 PM of Saturday from 58 constituencies of six states, including two UTs. Once again witnessed the passion of the voters of West Bengal as it recorded a 78% voting rate, which is higher than in other areas.
However, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir again witnessed moderate voter turnout in Lok Sabha Phase 6, which was at 52.24%, 52.02%, and 51.35% respectively, based on the information available from the mobile app launched by the Election Commission for voting percentage.
Out of the seven states, Delhi has gone through polling for only one phase and its result recorded a 53.73% voter turnout. Haryana incidences were the next nearest with 55.93%, Odisha with 59.60%, and Jharkhand forms the pedestal of these states with 61.41%.
West Bengal also experienced a relatively more violent actue across the eight constituencies it possesses. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had better success with the win of five constituencies of these seats, though TMC won the rest of the three.
Out of the four constituencies of Jharkhand namely Giridih, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur, there is a total population which constitutes 61. 41% of the electorate votes cast their ballots by 5 PM. Interestingly, Giridih was the most preferential camp, with scores of 64.75% turnout, followed by Jamshedpur at 64.30% and Dhanbad at 58. 90%, while Ranchi had a turnout of 58.73%.
