Former Pakistan left-arm seamer and one of the best cricketers in the world Wasim Akram took to his official Twitter handle and pinpointed SRH about the bowling line-up of KKR that can pose as a threat to them in Qualifier. KKR continued to render impeccable performance in the league stage and deposed of with the highest net run rate (NRR) of 1.428. Batsmen and bowlers played a stellar role and reinforced their supremacy during the season.

On the other side of the coin SRH was the team to follow the same game plan but it was quite aggressive in the way it adopted. In particular, the bowling line-up of KKR is a strong one and will pose stiff competition to the entire MI batting order. Recently, Iyer’s team managed to beat the same squad of SRH by 4 runs at Eden Gardens which signifies on how tough the match would be in the new league.

Wasim Akram lauded KKR’s bowling unit and accorded them credit for restricting the opponent to a modest score without dwelling on the brilliance of any individual cricketer. This bowling unit is a crucial factor in KKR’s prominent end position in the list. Teams that are able to take wickets in consistent manner will win matches. Varun Chakaravarthy is the top bowler with 18 scalps, Harshit Rana is the next highest with 16, while Andre Russell and Sunil Narine have managed 15 each and Mitchell Starc 12. Starc also remained the game’s winner in a particular game. Akram told the news agency: “They are a cool team going in for the finals as a very dangerous side.”

The return of Gautam Gambhir as the mentor has helped KKR to improve their charts. The two time IPL winning captain made the players believe in themselves and play like with no fear. Narine’s comeback to the opening order has also played a tactical move. Furthermore, Shreyas Iyer has also been doing well in leading the Delhi Capitals; he has shown that he is astute in the area of bowling changes and field settings.
