Pune: The Juvenile Justice Board in Pune has released a minor driver involved in a Porsche car crash that resulted in the death of another driver. The Board ordered the driver to work with traffic police for 15 days and submit an accident essay. The sad event took place in Kalyaninagar Pune, where Porsche’s car crushed two people to death who were on a motorcycle from its rear side on very early Sunday morning. The driver was a teenager, a minor whose father was a real estate developer and who sought legal action since the Porsche was not registered.
However, his father, together with the pub, for serving alcohol to a minor, was also charged. The Juvenile Justice Board, however, refused this calling and let the minor go with strict conditions even though the Police had begged to try the driver as an adult. His lawyer further says that the minor also needs to be treated so that he can stop taking alcohol as well as undergo some psychiatric examinations. The lawyer trusted the investigation and promised the authorities would be working together.
One of the suspects of violating the rules of the ship is a minor who is suspected of being drunk and is now waiting for the results of the medical examination. Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, engineers from Madhya Pradesh who were fatally injured in the accident, were returning to their homes after a party in a restaurant. Ashwini had just quit her job at a multinational, but her husband Anis still worked there.
The accident that took place and is documented in a viral video caused the two victims to die on the spot. The minor driver was arrested and underwent chemical tests to establish alcohol uptake. The two authorities have promised that they will take legal action against the minor’s father and the establishment that was selling alcoholic products, as this act is prohibited by the Juvenile Justice Act.
