Replying to such rumours that the party (BJP) might not secure in the Lok Sabha is not enough for the formation of a majority government by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah rebutted all such concerns confidently on Friday. He emphasised that the BJP does not need a plan B to win because he does not find any likelihood of the party not reaching the halfway mark.
He responded to such a question by saying that he did not see any such chance that the BJP would end up with less than 272 seats after the election. With their arms stretched all the way to PM Modi, the 60 crore strong beneficiaries stand behind him. They all stand for humanity beyond the confines of caste or age groups. The latter group can testify that the vote for Narendra Modi is the choice for better economics. And this is the very reason why they should also give Modi 400 seats.
In an interview with a news agency, Shah pinpointed the BJP’s primary strategy, which gave her the confidence that the party would break their existing regional records. “Plan B should be taken into account only there is a less than 60% chance for Plan A to succeed.” Empathetically, I have full confidence that our PM Modi will form the government with a convincing majority,” he emphasized again. He also noted that PM Modi is a really powerful supporter of reservations for scheduled castes, tribes and backward classes.
To counter the accusations that the Congress is seeking the creation of a so-called North-South divide, Shah underscored that the BJP was going to emerge as the single largest contender across the Union, covering Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. “Should someone propose that this is a separate country, this would be a very wrong thing to say. He will certainly demand that this country is not to be divided anymore. The senior member of the Congress party who happened to talk about dividing the North and the South of India did not deny or get distance with this statement. And that’s perhaps why the Congress party chose to remain silent.” said Home Minister Amit Shah.
