Lucknow: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal repeated his point of view by saying that Amit Shah will become the prime minister when Narendra Modi turns 75 in January 2025. Holding a joint press conference with Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party in Lucknow, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal made it clear that Modi has never complained about being unable to continue beyond 75. Modi, in his speech, highlighted that even though he faced opposition from the likes of Amit Shah in New Delhi when he raised the issue of the age and retirement of Modi at 75, Modi himself did not ever deny retiring after 75 age.
Kejriwal emphasized that Modi was held in the same degree of trust by the country, saying that the whole country was convinced that Modi would only step to abide by the rule of retirement at 75.
Amit Shah, the BJP leader, is also specified to eventually succeed as the Prime Minister by Kejriwal. This indicates that the BJP has intentionally sidelined other contenders such as Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dr. Raman Singh, Vasundhara Raje, Manohar Lal Khattar and Devendra Fadnavis. He added fuel to the fire by suggesting that Yogi Adityanath’s triumph is on the verge of happening, which shows that the imminent farewell is impending.
Furthermore, Kejriwal has warned that the BJP will try to cancel reservations if they gain power in these elections.
At his first Tihar Jail release, Kejriwal again announced that supporting the BJP would be an endorsement of Amit Shah’s Government rule, which may happen due to Modi’s 2025 birthday, a party’s law to limit exposing people above 75 to leadership roles. Amit Shah shot back at Kejriwal’s statement, saying Modi was eligible for the post of PM and that he would lead the party for longer than 2029. As per him, Shah stated that Kejriwal had been creating a confusion and thus contradicted the claim that there existed conflict within the party about leadership issue.
