Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has decried the opposition BJP for unnecessarily, and without valid reasons, impeaching the government led by Congress. The Congress hissed the BJP’s claim that the administration was trying to disempower the majority of Hindus by putting a Muslim for the Brahmarathotsava committee of a kovel in Hoskota.

Siddaramaiah argued that the BJP, to cover up, rapidly took back the speech it had presented recently on social media sites. He informed that the Brahmarathostaval committee had included some of the members of the Muslim community during the BJP’s rule also. He submitted a custody of retraction and an apology from the BJP for defaming him.

Even after the BJP had withdrawn its social media post, Sachin Siddaramaiah questioned the party for not expressing regret to all the Karnataka citizens. He said the BJP should have been responsible for making a real case and not making false accusations that did not account for the facts.

Furthermore, Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP’s hypocrisy in targeting the Congress government for appointing a Muslim member to the Brahmarathotsava committee. He highlighted instances during the BJP’s rule in 2020 and 2022 when members of the Muslim community were part of the same committee. He questioned the BJP’s sudden fervor for Hinduism, emphasizing the inclusive heritage of the Avimukteswara Swamy temple in Hoskote.

The Avimukteswara Swamy temple is considered the temple of Hindu identity, teaching different faiths religious harmony. Siddaramaiah focused on the fact that people from different religions come to the temple to take part in the ceremonies with admiration and unity. This is well displayed in the worship rites.

Through his speech, Siddaramaiah sought to counter the BJP’s polarizing narrative that divides Indian society into religious lines and emphasizes the role of tolerance and pluralism in the country. He told the BJP to stop using religion for politics while the party should be only dealing with concerns related to the state, such as governance.
