In its application to the Supreme Court filed on Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that Kejriwal had employed a seven-star Eden Rock Hotel in 2022, which they suggested he stayed during the elections of the state’s legislative assembly. Governor Singh is alleged to be managing illegal funds for AAP’s city elections campaign.
At the listening of Kejriwal’s bail hearing, ASG SV Raju, holding the position of Enforcement Directorate officer, submitted that the Inquiry or probe may not purport that the AAP leader is innocent of the involvement. “The only issue that arises is that why the investigation took so long and why the questions were not asked,” the court observed.
Responding, the Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer attributed the delay to the investigation officers’ individual pace.
