The BCCI came up with India squad for the men’s T20 World Cup 2024 team, which comprises Virat Kohli and crew, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shivam Dube, and Arshdeep Singh. Also, four reserve teams have been named along with Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan.

The panel headed by Ajit Agarkar finished their task and got together in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, in the presence of the BCCI secretary Jay Shah, to select the squad, which took place during the meeting. The announcement team are on course for the competition, which is tipped to start on 1st June in the USA and in the West Indies. Including all the teams that are participating is compulsory by May 1, when the 15-player squads must be submitted.

Cricket as a sport has witnessed massive support from the country’s former cricketers, and Pathan is one among them who believes that bowling should be a heavy emphasis and that both the wrist spinners Yadav and Bishnoi should be in the playing XI. Sources from the BCCI selection committee have suggested that Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are probably the ones who will be picked for the tournament as the wicketkeepers, while Shivam Dube may also make it to the list of selected team members.

As per the news agency, the skipper of Rajasthan Royals, Sanju Samson, is reported to be the front-runner for India place in the wicketkeeping-batting contest. Another contender for the primary position reserved for a keeper-batter from the second fiddle roles, such as Rishabh Pant, who is back in the game after a devastating car accident in 2022, and Ishan Kishan from the Mumbai Indians.
