Nainital Forest Department has immediately summoned the IAF and the Indian Army to carry out their 36 hours of firefighting activities to contain a tremendous forest fire that has already ravaged many hectares of luscious greenery. The administration of the district has made use of helicopters in delivering strengthened fire fighting operations.
Uttarakhand CM Mr Pushkar Singh Dhami has stated to have put forth the proposal for a meeting to discuss the forest fire that broke in Haldwani within the district of Nainital. While Dhami was concerned, she reiterated the seriousness with which the current problem needed to be dealt with the issue at hand. Defacing their plight, he mandatorily instructed them to continue the efforts to resolve the issue and request assistance from the Army action.

We have also held talks in Dehradun,” he noted, explaining. “The fire can be halted if the efforts are collectively made by all the members.”

It all started with natural events that happened in and around the Nainital woods. Now, it is a very big problem as the blaze is almost close to residential societies. R. Anand, Executive Officer of the Nainital Municipal Corp. spoke about IAF helicopters being given permission to extract water from Naini Lake as a measure to combat the fire. Because of this, boating out in the lake has been banned on that given day. He emphasized, in particular, guarding the prerogative of the Air Force Station in the vicinity.
