Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray read the party’s election manifesto, “Vachannama”, in a hastily arranged conference held at his residence forming his party, Shiv Sena (UBT), to contest for Lok Sabha elections. This manifesto consists of a variety of pledges that have been born out of the imperative to address core issues covering several spectrums, such as economic growth and environmental appeasement.
Uddhav Thackeray committed to establishing Mumbai as a financial hub, decrying its alleged relocation to Gujarat. He emphasized a focus on generating employment opportunities at the district level, aiming to curb migration from the state.
The UBT government gave the policy mandate also to Thackeray to come out with a new range of relief measures that comprised not only a farm loan waiver but also a crop insurance review, Lal Thackeray suggested. Apart from this, he advocated for the exemption of agricultural equipment and seeds from GSTs, which he identified as the only way to end the terrorism of taxation and ensure that everyone paid fairly.
Also, the party stated the invention of an agricultural research arm in the Department of Agriculture to offer problem-solving methods to farmers as well as coach them on the appropriate product selection to target available market opportunities.
The question of the environment got more political traction, with the program committing to the initiation of “only environmentally-friendly projects and industries” in the state of Maharashtra.
Shiv Sena’s commitment is to get a number of vital products -for the next five years under controlled prices.
It was released a day prior to the commencement of the second caste of Lok Sabha nominations which coincides with the polling progress in 8 constituencies in Maharashtra, which involves the West Vidarbha region, which contains Buldana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal waist, and also Hingoli, Nanded and Parbhani.
