Bhopal: In Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, 50 marriage gardens that operate illegally have been identified. Then, the city corporation is fixing six marriage gardens where six teams have been deployed. While this closure has made it difficult for the families to enjoy their celebrations in these venues that they had previously booked for their weddings, families had booked them. The families that had recently booked their dream weddings now have to cancel the ceremonies, increasing their problems.
The city of Bhopal has 200 marriage gardens and halls reserved for various event venues, like weddings. All these venues would need to get building permits from the appropriate sites under the authority of the respective officials. It might be said that reducing their fear and insecurity when visiting public spaces that are well-lit and happy can be achieved by simply increasing the number of public toilets located close to these places. They have been staging functions such as matrimonies, among others, that have continued without licenses being obtained. To respond to this, the municipal authority has come up with measures to penalize those who do such things by issuing notices.
The authorities have commenced sealing the marriage gardens in areas such as Narmadapuram Road, Ratibad, Rayasen, Vidisha Road, Bairagarh, and others. Notices were issued to these individuals, instructing them to cease operations within seven days and to inform the Building Permission Branch accordingly. However, in most cases, operations were not halted, nor was the information conveyed.
Consequently, the municipal corporation has initiated the process of sealing these venues. The crackdown aims to curb the unauthorized operation of marriage gardens and halls across the city. It is part of a broader effort to enforce regulations and ensure that all establishments comply with the necessary legal requirements.
The sealing of the wedding venues stresses the decrement of lawlessness and the observance of ´headway of procedures.´ The case not only highlights the applicable laws but also serves as a wake-up call for both individuals and organizations to observe their legal responsibilities and avoid a similar situation in the future.
