Jashpur: Two different road accidents in the district resulted in the death of a young man, and in the hospital, a group of people were seriously injured as well. However, the injured are now in the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Having learned about these accident cases, the police came to the place of the incidents; the investigation was started.
The first incident occurred near the Lodam Forest Check Post in the district late Thursday night. It is reported that two youths were traveling on a motorcycle somewhere. During this time, they collided with a truck parked in the middle of the road at the Lodam Forest Check Post for inspection.
Post-accident, pressing 108 didn’t connect to the 108 call center for more than an hour and a half. They were not there to help at all. At the end of the night, the youth of the age under the influence of drugs was in serious pain and only found on the road after the accident. The victims were aided by people and were admitted to the health center through a private vehicle. However, 24-year-old youth Divyanshu Kujur succumbed to death during the treatment.
While the identity of the other youth could not be ascertained, he has been referred to the district hospital as his condition is serious. Meanwhile, there is heavy anger among the relatives and villagers of the deceased. They have accused the employees of 108 of negligence.
Meanwhile, the second incident is from the Shahidand area of the Narayanpur police station. Here, a Scorpio vehicle returning from a wedding collided with a mahua tree after losing control. In the accident, 5 men and 1 woman traveling in the Scorpio were seriously injured. Here too, when dialing the 108 ambulance service, it did not arrive. After this, with the help of people, the injured were admitted to the Kunkuri hospital.
