BJP, the country’s ruling party, made a detailed manifesto public on public display on April 14, the morning of the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The campaign kick-off inauguration event, scheduled for the party headquarters in Delhi, has seen the presence of PM Narendra Modi, party head JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other senior party members. Manifesto, the Sankalp Patra, was unveiled on the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, a great character in Indian history and popular in the Dalit community.
In its” Sankalp Patra,” the BJP promised for numerous commitments. The Prime Minister said that schemes and programs implemented by the government in the last decade were his biggest achievement, which led to great transformation and reach-out behavior among the people.
Key promises highlighted in the manifesto include:
- Expansion of the Ayushman Yojana to cover individuals aged 70 or above.
- Increasing the Mudra scheme’s loan limit to 20 lakh rupees.
- Implementation of the Nyaya Sanhita.
- Resolving waiting list issues on trains and advancing work on bullet trains in the Northeast.
- Development of 5G and 6G technology, along with achieving self-reliance in energy.
- Inclusion of transgender individuals in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
- Prioritizing and empowering women, including training opportunities in various sectors and the NaMo Drone Didi Yojana for rural women.
- Taking a comprehensive approach to disaster mitigation and enhancing resilience in Himalayan states.
- Establishing an Anusandhan Fund with an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore for scientific research.
The BJP’s manifesto gives a bird’s-eye-view of the goals of its government to achieve the prosperity and well-being of our nation. The elections being nearby seems to give a voice to the promises that will be heard from potential voters.
