Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan’s film ‘Shaitaan’ is dominating recent releases in theaters. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film has garnered significant attention from cinema-goers despite some expressing disappointment with its storyline. However, it is currently proving to be the most successful in captivating audiences, possibly due to the powerful combination of Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan. The film’s success is overshadowing Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yoddha,’ which has failed to make a significant impact. Similarly, Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370,’ released prior to ‘Shaitan,’ has achieved moderate success, crossing the 100 crore mark worldwide.

The main reason behind the success of ‘Shaitaan’ lies in its trailer, released just before the film’s release, which captured the audience’s interest. Within 15 days of its release, the film has crossed the 100 crore mark at the Indian box office. According to industry trackers, the film earned 1.95 crore rupees on its second Friday, bringing its total earnings to 116.25 crore rupees. Worldwide, the film has grossed 167 crore rupees.

On the other hand, Aditya Suhas Jambhale’s film ‘Article 370’ may not have performed as well as expected but has still managed to earn satisfactorily. Made on a budget of 20 crore rupees, Yami Gautam’s film has earned 10 crore rupees worldwide. On its 29th day, the film earned 28 lakh rupees, bringing its total earnings to approximately 74.13 crore rupees. It has crossed the 100 crore mark worldwide.

‘Article 370’ narrates the story of the government’s efforts to revoke Article 370 in Kashmir and the reasons behind it. Despite its underwhelming performance, Yami’s portrayal has touched the hearts of many.
