Budaun: In a harrowing incident unfolding in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun, chilling details have emerged surrounding a double murder case, where a man allegedly perpetrated a heinous act against two innocent children amidst a purported dispute with their father.
The accused, identified as Sajid purportedly operated a barber shop situated opposite the victim’s residence and was acquainted with their father, Vinod, according to police reports. On the evening of Tuesday, tragedy struck when Sajid purportedly paid a visit to their home, ostensibly seeking a loan of ₹5,000 from Vinod, who happened to be absent at the time. Seizing the opportunity, Sajid allegedly launched a vicious assault on Vinod’s wife and their three children.
The gruesome nature of the double murder incited tensions within the community, leading to outraged residents setting ablaze the barber’s shop in retaliation. As per the family’s account, Sajid approached Vinod’s wife, Sangeeta, fabricating a story about his pregnant wife’s urgent hospitalization and the dire need for ₹5,000 to cover medical expenses. Succumbing to the fabricated plea, Sangeeta contacted Vinod, who reportedly sanctioned the loan.
While Sangeeta busied herself in the kitchen, preparing tea, Sajid allegedly lured the eldest son, 11-year-old Aayush, upstairs under the pretext of inspecting his mother’s beauty salon. It’s reported that on the second floor, Sajid gruesomely assaulted Aayush with a knife. When the youngest brother, Ahaan (6), stumbled upon the scene, he met a similar fate at the hands of the assailant. Their other brother, Piyush (7), managed to evade severe harm by escaping and seeking refuge, sustaining minor injuries.
According to the family’s testimony, Sajid made a swift escape on a bike with his brother, Javed, who allegedly facilitated the crime. Tragically, Sajid’s apprehension culminated in a violent encounter with law enforcement, resulting in his demise. Amidst the confrontation, an inspector sustained injuries and is currently undergoing medical treatment, while Javed remains at large. Despite ongoing investigations, authorities are yet to establish a definitive motive for the gruesome murders, although indications suggest a simmering dispute between Sajid and Vinod.
Denying any prior altercation with Sajid, Vinod asserted, “I had no dispute with him. I was away from home for work when he came to the house. He asked for ₹5,000, and my wife gave him the money. One of my sons managed to escape his attack and alert his mother.”
