The Chhattisgarh Environmental Conservation Committee has organized a conference titled “Chhattisgarh – Vision 2047” at Hotel Babylon Capital on March 15, starting at 11:30 AM. The inauguration will be done by the Chief Guest, Finance Minister OP Choudhary, with the program chaired by Chief Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Government, Abhishek Jain.

This conference, held with the aim of advancing the ‘Developed India’ program during the Amrit Kal of Independence, will focus on making Chhattisgarh a developed state alongside environmental conservation. Various key sectors of the state, including the Integrated Steel and Sponge Iron Plant, Coal Washery, Thermal Power Plants, Coal Mines, Iron Ore Mines, Major Hospitals, Sponge Iron Association, Rolling Mill Association, Mini Steel Plant Association, Miner Mineral Association, and Joint Solid Waste Disposal Facility, will be represented in this conference. Additionally, the Commissioners of Municipal Corporations of Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and Bhilai will also be present.

Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Environmental Conservation Committee, P. Arun Prasad, mentioned that this conference will deliberate on different aspects of economic development and environmental sustainability to transform Chhattisgarh into a developed state by 2047, the 100th year of Independence. “Chhattisgarh – Vision 2047” will focus on formulating an action plan for environmental conservation as a roadmap for the next 25 years, aiming to share ideas and suggestions for achieving sustainable development.

The conference seeks to foster collaboration between government bodies, industry stakeholders, and environmental experts to address the dual imperatives of economic growth and ecological preservation. By engaging in discussions and sharing insights, participants aim to chart a course towards a prosperous and environmentally sustainable future for Chhattisgarh.
