Raipur: After the passage of a vote of no confidence against the heads of three municipal bodies, the Department of Urban Administration and Development of the State Government has appointed acting chairs to oversee the administrative functions of these entities. In accordance with separate orders issued by the ministry, the municipality of Takhatpur in Bilaspur district has designated Ward No. 13 Councilor Amarika Krishna Kumar Sahu as the Acting Chairperson.

Simultaneously, the State Government has appointed Dhanlal Deshlahare, the councilor for Ward No. 15 of Maro Nagar Panchayat in Bemetara district, as the Acting Chairperson of Maro Nagar Panchayat. Additionally, Paramanand Sahu, representing Ward No. 5 of Sarangarh Nagar Panchayat in Mungeli district, has been appointed as the Acting Chairperson of Sarangarh Nagar Panchayat.

The State Government has taken these swift actions following the passing of no-confidence motions against the current heads of the municipal bodies.
