Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a spiritual interlude during his visit to Telangana on Tuesday, as he paid a visit to the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad. In a video disseminated by the news agency ANI, Modi was observed immersed in prayer, seeking the blessings of the goddess. Two temple priests guided him through the ‘archana,’ a personal puja involving the recitation of the devotee’s name, birth star, and family lineage.

This temple visit was part of Modi’s extensive tour, encompassing states such as Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar. The multi-state tour, initiated on Monday, entails the inauguration of several developmental projects. In Sangareddy, situated around 60 km away, the Prime Minister unveiled and laid the foundation for projects collectively valued at over ₹7,200 crore, spanning crucial sectors like transportation, energy, and infrastructure.

A significant highlight of Modi’s visit to Hyderabad was the inauguration of the Civil Aviation Research Organisation (CARO) centre at Begumpet Airport. Established by the Airports Authority of India, this center aims to bolster research and development in the civil aviation sector.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister marked the occasion by inaugurating and initiating the groundwork for three National Highway projects. Among them, the foundation stone for the six-laning of the 29 km Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65 was laid, a move anticipated to enhance connectivity to major industrial hubs such as the Pashamylaram industrial area in Telangana.

In a comprehensive effort to enhance rail infrastructure, Modi inaugurated the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar-Moula Ali rail line during an event in Hyderabad. Additionally, he unveiled six new station buildings, signaling a commitment to advancing the nation’s railway network.

The Prime Minister’s tour underscores a strategic focus on nationwide development, with a particular emphasis on diverse sectors crucial for the country’s progress.
