Dindori: In Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh, financial assistance has been increased for the deceased and injured victims who lost their lives two days ago in a tragic incident at Badjar Ghat. The incident occurred when a pickup truck overturned in the river at Toyanar village in the Shahpura police station area. Fourteen indigenous people lost their lives, and 20 others were severely injured.

The District Collector, Vikas Mishra, provided information about the enhanced financial assistance for the deceased and injured. He mentioned that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has increased the financial aid in response to the sensitive incident. Orders for the same have been received by the district administration.

As per the updated assistance, each family of the deceased will receive INR 6 lakh 20 thousand. For each injured person, assistance will be provided with INR 1 lakh 55 thousand. The financial support includes INR 2 lakh from the Prime Minister, INR 4 lakh from the Chief Minister, and INR 20,000 from the Red Cross Society for each family of the deceased. Similarly, each injured person will receive INR 50,000 from the Prime Minister, INR 1 lakh from the Chief Minister, and INR 5,000 from the District Red Cross Society.

Meanwhile, the injured are undergoing proper treatment, with 12 receiving medical care at Jabalpur Medical College and 8 at the Shahpura Community Health Center. The families of the deceased are being assisted in availing benefits from other government schemes, and efforts are being made to ensure the education of the children left orphaned by the incident.

This tragic incident has garnered attention, and the local administration is actively involved in providing support and care to the affected families. The commitment and efforts of the Shahpura team have been commendable in addressing the aftermath of the incident.
