“Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” witnesses a decline in box office earnings, collecting ₹1.75 crore on the 13th day of its release. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the romantic comedy narrates the unique love story between a robot girl, played by Kriti Sanon as Sifra, and a human boy, portrayed by Shahid Kapoor as Aryan Agnihotri. The film’s total domestic box office collection now stands at ₹64.20 crore.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor in a special appearance, along with Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Ashish Verma, and Rakesh Kumar in pivotal roles, the movie explores the intersection of human emotions and artificial intelligence. Despite the star-studded lineup, the film has faced criticism for its content and portrayal of relationships.

In a recent promotional video, Kriti Sanon, who embodies the role of Sifra, shared a light-hearted moment with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. The clip depicts Anil Kapoor offering traditional utensils to Kriti, who humorously declines, stating, “Sir, yeh Sifra khati hai. Mai nahi khati [Sir, Sifra eats all this. I do not eat this].” The video concludes with the title track of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” playing in the background.

However, despite promotional efforts, the film has received mixed reviews from critics. One film critic gave it 1.5 out of 5 stars, describing it as a “casually, unabashedly sexist comedy of manners.” The critic pointed out problematic dialogues and a narrative that seems to endorse outdated gender stereotypes. The film has been compared to “Kabir Singh” and “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” for its portrayal of relationships and its handling of male-female dynamics.

Released on February 9, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” continues to attract attention, albeit with a declining box office performance and diverse critical feedback.
