The Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy conducted a 5 days training program for the Judicial Officers of Bangladesh from January 27 to February 2 at CSJA. It is a historic moment for the State Judicial Academy because it the first time that International Training is organized at the Academy under the guidance of Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court and Patron in chief of the Academy and Chairman Justice Sanjay K Agrawal. The inaugural ceremony of the training program was conducted on Sunday.
The Phase II training program of the National Judicial Academy for the Judges and Judicial officers of Bangladesh conducted by the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy marks a significant milestone in academies efforts to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the judiciary.
Though the Chief Justice could not be physically present on this occasion as he was in Delhi for some official commitments, he joined the program virtually. He extended his warm welcome to the judges of Bangladesh and said that in the present time, the judiciary must adapt and learn from each other’s experiences.
During these 5 days of training various resource persons from various fields of law were called as resource persons and they delivered lecture to the Judges of Bangladesh. During the session senior counsel of the High Court of Chhattisgarh DR Nirmal Shukla, Mrs. Fauzia Mirza delivered the lecture. The Judges of Bangladesh were also addressed by Mr Amrito Das and Mrs. Naushina Ali. The Law Faculty from Hidayatulla National Law University, Mr Anindya Tiwari and From Kalinga University Mr Ayush Gondale also facilitated the judges by their lectures. One session was also taken by Additional PCCF Shri Arun Pandey, Retired Registrar General Shri Ashok Panda, Judicial officers of the State Shri K.L. Charyani and Shri Pankaj Sharma . The Sessions were also taken by the Director of the Academy Smt Sushma Sawant and Additional Director Smt Garima Sharma.
The training marks a historic importance in that it is for the first time that the State Judicial Academy is conducting training for the Judicial Officers across borders. The Judicial Officers of Bangladesh expressed their gratitude towards the hospitality and arrangement made by the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy.
