The Varanasi district court is expected to deliver a judgment on Wednesday regarding the dispute surrounding Vyasa Ji’s residence at the Gyanvapi Mosque and the right to perform worship. Shailendra Kumar Pathak has filed a plea seeking the continuation of his rights to conduct puja and recitation, with the verdict scheduled for 2:30 PM on Wednesday.
It’s worth mentioning that after the district judges’ order Vyasa Ji’s residence was placed under the supervision of the District Magistrate. The petitioner wants to maintain their rights to worship as they were granted prior to 1993. The decision is expected to be announced at 2:30 PM on Wednesday.
Notably, as a result of the district judge’s directive, a receiver was appointed by the District Magistrate on January 17th to oversee Vyasa Ji’s residence. Furthermore, on January 24th, the Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) assumed responsibility for Vyasa Ji’s dwelling. The district court will reveal its verdict at 2:30 PM on Wednesday.
In Shailendra Kumar Pathak’s submission, it is argued that he should be allowed to resume worship and recitation as it was before 1993. The outcome of this decision holds significance, especially if it favors the Hindu side. The verdict given by the district court is important considering the dispute surrounding the Gyanvapi Mosque.
