Delhi: Full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebrations will be held on Tuesday. This parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 1030 am and will end at Red Fort ground from ITO via C-Hexagon via Duttapath. Due to this, the movement of vehicles will be restricted and Delhi Police has advised users to use alternative routes from 9 AM to 1 PM.
According to the information received from Delhi Traffic Police, the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade will start from 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 23 and will continue till 12:30 pm. The parade will go from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort. All groups and vehicles will participate in this. Traffic movement on the duty road between Vijay Chowk and India Gate will remain closed from 6 am. At the same time, cross traffic on the duty path from Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road will also be closed from 11 am. Traffic movement at C Hexagon India Gate will also remain closed from 9:15 am till the end of the parade. Traffic movement will also be stopped on Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg from 10:30 am. Cross traffic on these roads will also be closed till 11 pm. The traffic police has advised people not to pass through the parade route between 9:30 am and 1 pm.
Police said that duty path-Rafi Marg crossing, duty path-Janpath crossing, duty path-Mansingh Road crossing were closed from 11 pm on Monday night. Vehicles will not be able to cross them until the parade ends. Traffic will remain closed on Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar and Subhash Marg from 1030 am. The traffic police has appealed that the drivers should follow the instructions of the policemen deployed at all the intersections.
