Saturday proved to be a blockbuster for “HanuMan” as the Hindi version witnessed a remarkable surge, nearly doubling its collection from the previous day. On the second Friday, the film secured 2.05 crores at the box office, and on the following Saturday (day 9), the numbers skyrocketed to an impressive 4.02 crores. This outstanding performance mirrors the film’s opening weekend, where it experienced a similar leap from 2.15 crores to 4.05 crores.
With the current cumulative nearing 30 crores, “HanuMan,” starring Teja Sajja, is now poised to cross the 50 crores milestone in its lifetime. Accumulating 28.99 crores already, the daily collections are expected to reach approximately 35 crores. Surpassing this mark and securing an additional 15 crores seems highly achievable, given the film’s robust box office run.
The film’s financial success is not limited to theatrical collections alone; the combination of Hindi theatrical earnings and revenue from OTT platforms and satellite rights ensures recovery of the production costs. Substantial profits from the Telugu version, coupled with additional gains from the Hindi version, contribute to the overall financial success. With a potential total exceeding 100 crores in the south, investors in “HanuMan” find themselves in a lucrative position.
Director Prasanth Varma stands to gain significantly from this success. The film’s strength lies in its modest production costs, and there is optimism that any potential sequel will maintain a similar financial model rather than exceeding budgetary limits. “HanuMan” not only emerges as a box office triumph but also as a testament to the strategic fiscal approach adopted in its production.
