New Delhi: In Seelampur, the police have apprehended five criminals who threatened and shot a businessman before committing robbery. The police seized ₹20,000, a pistol, three cartridges, a scooter, and a bike from their possession. The criminals revealed that they were carrying out the incident to earn money quickly. During the investigation, it was discovered that they have a keen interest in wearing branded clothes and shoes.

The identified arrested criminals are Rizwan from Gautampuri, Noor Ali from Azit Nagar, Najim from New Seelampur, and Rakesh and Kamal. According to police officials, on the night of December 22, Jnan Chand Tayal, a resident of Navin Shahdara, was returning home in his car from his shop in Gautampuri. The criminals, riding a bike and a scooter, intercepted him in Seelampur. They threatened him with a gun, demanded ₹40,000, and looted him of his mobile phone and bag before fleeing.

The victim filed a complaint, and the police registered a case of robbery. Police officers mentioned that Rizwan, Noor Ali, and Najim are involved in cases of murder, robbery, assault, and theft. The swift action by the police resulted in the arrest of these criminals.

This incident highlights the growing concern of criminal activities, including threats and violence, against a businessman.
