On December 22, Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Chandigarh. He will spend three hours, allocating one hour for Chandigarh administration programs and two hours for Haryana. BJP leaders are making efforts to bring Amit Shah to the party office.

As Amit Shah’s visit approaches its conclusion, the Chandigarh administration is actively involved in preparations. Meetings of senior officials have been ongoing to discuss the arrangements for Amit Shah’s visit. Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Chandigarh in the afternoon on the 22nd. The program is set to take place at the Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) in Sector 26. No other locations are planned for his visit.

Approximately ten projects will be digitally inaugurated or have foundation stones laid using digital means from CCET. According to sources, Amit Shah is expected to reach CCET around 4:00 PM. His program here spans three hours, but only one hour has been allocated for Chandigarh by the Home Minister.

The first hour will witness the inauguration of major projects related to the city, including the extension of administrative blocks and workshops at CCET. From here, Amit Shah will inaugurate the Cyber Security Center in Sector-18. He will also inaugurate residences for police personnel in Dhanas and introduce some new vehicles in the police department. Additionally, Amit Shah is slated to lay the foundation stones for three projects with a total cost of ₹367.58 crore and initiate the foundation laying for three projects with an expenditure of ₹32.30 crore.

During the three-hour visit, the home minister will dedicate one hour to Chandigarh and two hours to meet with BJP leaders, Haryana Chief Minister, or other dignitaries from the Haryana government. The invitation for Amit Shah’s program has been extended to selected individuals, and audience numbers are expected to be limited on the stage.
