Bhopal: In Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, the inaugural edition of the Kuno Forest Festival will be held from December 17 to December 22. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will grace the event’s commencement. The festival promises captivating activities and cultural programs, illuminating the evenings. Tomorrow, on December 17, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in the opening ceremony of the Kuno Forest Festival in Shivpuri district.

This year, the festival is being hosted for the first time at the Kuno Forest Retreat by the Tourism Board. Notably, the Kuno Utsav features the awe-inspiring presence of tigers. In a departure from the norm, rather than releasing the majestic cats into the open jungle, they will be released in confined enclosures as part of the festival.

For the convenience of tourists, a tent city has been set up with 50 fully equipped tents. The Kuno Forest Festival aims to give meaningful expression to goals related to environmental conservation, tourism promotion, and cheetah conservation. Additionally, the festival has divided tourists into two groups, with one group engaging in tourism-related activities and the other focusing on wildlife exploration. This intentional division aims to provide excitement and exploration opportunities for tourists.

The festival underscores the broader significance of environmental preservation and wildlife conservation, with an added focus on cheetah protection. Participants will not only experience the thrill of tourism but also engage in guided explorations, enriching their understanding of the region’s biodiversity.

As the Kuno Forest Festival unfolds, it serves as a testament to the commitment towards fostering ecological awareness and promoting sustainable tourism in the region. The inclusion of such events contributes to the preservation of natural habitats, instills a sense of responsibility toward wildlife, and enhances the overall cultural and tourism experience for visitors.
