Jaipur: The fate of candidates in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections will be decided on Sunday. All eyes are fixed on whether Rajasthan will witness a change in power or stick to tradition. The process of counting votes for the 199 assembly constituencies will commence on December 3 at 8:00 AM through postal ballots and at 8:30 AM through EVMs at 36 counting centers.
For the 19 assembly seats in Jaipur district, the vote count will take place at Rajasthan College and Commerce College on JLN Marg, spanning 383 rounds. According to the District Election Officer Prakash Rajpurohit, there are 332 tables set up for counting, with 236 tables for EVMs and 96 tables for postal ballots.
The counting for the 19 assembly seats in Jaipur district is expected to be completed between the 18th and 23rd rounds. The Civil Lines assembly constituency will witness the least number of rounds, with counting taking place at 12 tables for 209 booths. Here, the counting process will be completed in 18 rounds, and the election results will be announced first. Subsequently, the results for the Kishanpole, Malviya Nagar, Dudu, and Adarsh Nagar assembly seats are likely to follow as counting for these seats will occur in 19 rounds.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of delayed results for the Jhotwara assembly constituency. The counting for 360 booths will take place at 16 tables, and the voting process will be completed in 23 rounds. Additionally, the Bagru assembly constituency results may also be delayed. For the 16 tables assigned to count 360 booths, the voting process will conclude in 23 rounds.
