Bhopal: Leading up, to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections in 2023, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) caused quite a stir by granting tickets to seven parliamentarians, including three ministers. Now as the BJP gears up for the Lok Sabha elections, there are indications that Rajya Sabha MPs and state legislators who were denied tickets in the assembly polls are actively preparing to enter the race for seats.

Following guidance from party leaders, potential candidates are diligently getting ready for the ticket allocation process. Even former ministers and legislators who didn’t secure tickets in the assembly elections are now actively participating in a bid to secure a seat.

The BJP is strategically planning for the Lok Sabha polls before completing their Rajya Sabha term. Central Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with MPs Sumer Singh Solanki and Kavita Patidar, will be contesting in these Lok Sabha elections. Their terms, in the Rajya Sabha, extend until June 2026. Additionally, MP Kavita Patidar’s term lasts until June 2028. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MPs Ajay Pratap Singh and Kailash Soni’s terms are set to conclude in April 2024. Reports suggest that these Rajya Sabha MPs and legislators may be fielded by BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.

Umashankar Gupta, a minister, has confirmed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently making preparations, for the Lok Sabha elections. The party follows a principle where deserving and successful workers will be given tickets.

The BJP emphasizes a fair and competitive process, where those who emerge victorious in the elections will be the rightful candidates. Notably, central ministers are also actively involved in the preparations for the assembly elections.

In this political landscape, the BJP is dynamically navigating the electoral terrain, balancing the aspirations of its leaders and ensuring a competitive and strategic approach in both assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
