Noida: Noida Police booked six people, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, for providing snake venom opioids at party. Nine snakes, including 5 cobras, and snake venom were recovered by a joint team of Noida Police and the Gautum Budh Nagar district forest department during a raid at a banquet hall in Sector 51 of Noida.
The Noida Police booked six people, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, under charges of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and criminal conspiracy of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly providing snake venom opioids at a party in Noida.
“We had received information that Big Boss winner Elvish Yadav organises raves parties. In which they regularly invite, foreign women, and consume snake venom and intoxicants. We also had received information that Elvish Yadav shoots videos with live snakes in rave parties at farm houses in NCR”, confirmed a police official.
The police raided the party on Wednesday night and recovered nine snakes, including five cobras, and snake venom. The six accused were arrested on the spot.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to using snake venom to extract opioids, which they then sold to partygoers. They also admitted to organizing parties where snake venom opioids were consumed.
The police are now investigating how the accused obtained the snakes and the venom. They are also trying to identify other people who may be involved in the racket.
The arrest of Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber with over 1.5 million subscribers, has sent shockwaves through the social media community. Many people have expressed their disgust at his alleged involvement in such a heinous crime.
